The National MLK Memorial

Dr. King's fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. is in the process of raising funds to build a national memorial to honor Dr. King on the grounds of the Nation's Capitol The memorial will be located on the Tidal Basin. It will be on a four-acre site adjacent to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial and on a direct line between the Lincoln and the Jefferson memorials. Dr. King will be the first African American and only the second nonpresident to be so honored in Area I.    Visit this Site
